RotOr Recoil
RotOr Recoil is a one of a kind aerial shooting experience.
An aerial platform training experience, the Rotor Recoil course (RR) provides an opportunity for sportsmen to learn the dynamics of shooting from a helicopter owned and operated by Abraham Equine. The course includes 90 custom made targets, scattered over 11,000 acres on privately owned Mendota Ranch in Canadian, Texas. With changing terrain and variable conditions, our 90 target course provides consistent target opportunities and a fast paced experience. Designed to be challenging for marksman of any skill level, the course creates exciting and unique training to improve accuracy across all platforms, and serves as excellent training for predator control and feral hog population management.
The Rotor Recoil course experience begins with a thorough safety briefing, covering techniques and practices for safely operating firearms in and around an aircraft. The briefing will detail equipment, fundamentals of marksmanship, basic ballistics, range estimation, firearm operations in and around a helicopter and target engagements at airspeed. Heavily focused on safety, your pilot will cover 360 degree awareness and in-flight communication procedures and commands to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all.
Immediately following our safety briefing, gunners will take off in the helicopter operated by Jason Abraham and begin the course. For more information, view our pricing and packages.
